3S Will Supply 50 Service Lifts for the Korosun Project, Which Will Light up Thousands of Homes in South Africa

South Africa has a wealth of wind energy resources. This is particularly true in the west and east coasts, Eastern Cape Province and Northwest Cape Province. The country boasts of an average wind speed of 7 to 8.5 m/s, and in some areas up to 10 m/s. The Korosun Wind Power Project (Phase II), located on the border of the Eastern Cape Province and Northern Cape Province, is currently under construction and is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2026. This project will bring more clean energy to the people and light up thousands of homes in South Africa.

The total installed capacity of the project is 295 MW. The 50 wind turbines of 5.9 MW are to be installed, all using the 3S LIFT Ladder-Guided Service Lifts with a rated load of 250 kg and a traveling speed of 18 m/min. It will take approximately 6.5 min to reach the tower top（118 m height) using the service lift.

Next month, 3S LIFT products (Service Lift) will be gradually introduced to the South African market, bringing a touch of the 3S element.
